Award-winning author, Dagoberto Gilb, reads from his new collection, Before the End, After the Beginning, as part of the DePaul Visiting Writers Program co-sponsored by the Center for Latino Research and the English Department. The author's previous books are The Flowers, Gritos, Woodcuts of Women, The Last Known Residence of Mickey Acuña, and The Magic of Blood, which won the PEN/Hemingway Award. Gilb is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, and has been a fi¬nalist for both the PEN/Faulkner and National Book Critics Circle Award.
The event takes place February 29 at 6 p.m. in Program Room 115 of the John T. Richardson Library located just inside the 2350 North Kenmore entrance from Kelly Hall.
