New Electronic Resources

We are pleased to announce that the DePaul University Library has added a number of new electronic resources to our collection. We hope you will find these databases useful in your research and teaching. Please let us know if you have questions about any of these new resources or would like a demonstration of any of them for a class or a faculty meeting.

EEBO (Early English Books Online)EEBO Logo
EEBO allows users to view and search digital facsimiles of virtually every work printed in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and British North America and works in English printed elsewhere from 1473-1700. Containing 125,000 titles, this collection includes the first book printed in English by William Caxton, through the age of Spenser and Shakespeare and the tumult of the English Civil War; early quarto editions of Shakespeare's plays with the renowned First Folio edition of 1623; and the earliest editions of classics such as Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and Malory's Morte d'Arthur.

Produced by the Ethnic Studies Library at the University of California, Berkeley, this bibliographic index covers a wide range of materials focused on Mexican-American and Chicano experiences, as well as the broader Latino experiences of Puerto Ricans, Cuban Americans and Central American immigrants since 1992. Contains nearly 60,000 records from more than 2,400 journals and other resources, including newspapers, books, and book chapters.

An upgrade to our previous CINAHL subscription, this version offers 71 percent more full-text health science journals.

Synthesis Computer & Information Science Collections 4 & 5
These join our previous purchases of collections 1-3, meaning that we now have access to over 250 Computer & Information Science lectures.

The Latino-Hispanic American Experience: Leaders, Writers, and Thinkers

This collection focuses on the evolution of Hispanic civil rights, religious thought, and the growing presence of women writers from the late 19th and 20th centuries. Rare and relevant books and newspapers, including rare anarchist newspapers, are presented in their original form.

The Latino-Hispanic American Experience: Arte Público Hispanic Historical Collection
This collection includes historical content pertaining to U.S. Hispanic history, literature, political commentary, and culture. It includes approximately 60,000 historical articles as well as hundreds of political and religious pamphlets and broadsides and the complete texts of over 1,100 historical books of Hispanic literature and culture.
