Images of work by French artist Georges Seurat have been added to the Image Collection website, including the Art Institute of Chicago's popular painting, "A Sunday on La Grande Jatte--1884," along with details and studies.  

Additionally, images have been added in the following areas:

• The Parthenon and it's sculptural programs
• The Paintings of Nicolas Poussin
• The Architecture of Andrea Palladio
• Indian Book Illustration from the Mughal period

Images have been added to the Image Collection website dealing with the Art and Architecture of the Etruscans.

Additionally, content has been added illustrating the architecture and sculpture of Ancient Greece, including:

• The Parthenon
• The Erechtheum
• The Temple of Aphaia

A great deal of content was added to the Image Collection website during the month of April, much of it focused on the art of Africa.  Images added cover:

• Christian Art of Ethiopia
• Art of the Baule (Western African)
• Art from Zimbabwe and South Africa, including work by members of the Ndau, Tonga and Tsonga cultures.

We have also added images of work by American artist Robert Rauschenberg and photographer Robert Frank.
